The beauty of McCall in the summer months is that you could visit anytime in July and experience its gorgeous weather. But if you want to visit during the July 4th celebration, this weekend really showcases the town in all its outdoor adventure glory.

McCall is a haven for outdoor enthusiasts and is centered around Payette Lake, a gorgeous alpine lake offering a plethora of water activities where you can enjoy swimming, sailing, waterskiing, jet skiing, kayaking, stand-up paddleboarding, or simply relaxing on the beach.

If you have a boat, Legacy Park has a public boat ramp where you can launch it for a day of exploring Payette Lake. Something to keep in mind when planning your Fourth of July festivities is that McCall City Council has instituted a ban on bringing alcohol to lakefront parks.
The rule goes into effect on July 3 at 8:00 pm and runs through July 5 at 8:00 am every year. The city will post signs at least 24 hours before with restriction reminders.
