Some are right near downtown and others may be bit of a drive, but there is a place in the sun for everyone who visits.
Swim at your own risk. No lifeguards on duty at any of these beaches.

We are happy to share our beautiful community with you and need your help to keep it that way. Remember, if you pack it in please pack it out.

Rotary Park

Located at the west end of town, the recently renovated by the City of McCall, Rotary Park has picnic tables, a roped off swimming area, playground and swings and especially nice - a public restroom!

This is a nice spot to launch a kayak, canoe or paddle board too.

Location: 335 W. Lake St. McCall


Art Roberts Park

Located smack dab in the middle of downtown just across from the Manchester Ice and Event Center. The iconic Bear sculpture looks out over the grassy hill, beach and municipal dock on Payette Lake.

This is a nice spot to stop and take it all in. Grab a meal downtown and take a stroll afterwards. Make sure to stop for a photo op with the Bears and meander down to the lake.

Good spot to launch a kayak, canoe or paddle board.

Location: Down town McCall across from the ice rink.


Legacy Park and Beach

A downtown favorite and the hub of fun in McCall. This park is home base and the starting point of several foot races and the annual McCall Mountain Triathalon. With a grassy area for sun bathers and nice beach for swimmers this park also has volleyball, picnic tables and a public restroom. Stroll the promenade and take a bench break for unsurpassed views of Payette Lake.

This park neighbors the public boat launch and Mile High Marina.

Brown Park

Shoreline path, picnic tables and benches make this a great family friendly park. Keep cool in the summer on the grass and under a shade tree. Public restrooms on site.

This park is located at the edge of a residential area, please be respectful of parking spaces and access to homeowners. Park along Hemlock St. or E. Lake St.

Location: 1500 East Lake St.


Davis Beach

Small and intimate setting. Lovely views and a popular spot for locals.

This beach is located at the end of Diamond St. through a residential area just before you enter Ponderosa State Park.

Location: The west end of Diamond St. off of Davis St.


Ponderosa State Park

Nice beach with boat ramp, handling docks (fee based) and bathrooms. A family fun favorite. This is a busy spot during the summer months. Located just five minutes from downtown McCall.

Location: 1920 Davis Ave. McCall


North Shore Beach (Ponderosa State Park)

Out of the way and the furthest north end of Payette Lake. Dedicated parking area, day use fee and short interpretive walk to the beach. Bathroom facilities state park style.

The western most edge of this beach is a great place to launch a kayak, canoe or paddle board for a flat water float up the Payette River which empties into the lake. Bring your own or rent across the spit at the kiosk. Lake boaters can pull a boat up to the beach.

Summer and Fall 2019

Due to construction on Warren Wagon Rd., rental kiosks will be located at both ends of north beach.

Access to parking lot via road along east side of lake or take Warren Wagon Rd. around the loop south of Twah Creek day use area.

You are at the gateway to Payette National Forest back country. A resident moose and calf occupy this area. Keep the wildlife wild. Don't feed!

No Tell 'Em

It is not a joke. With miles of river shoreline there are plenty more beaches around but you will have to discover them for yourself.

Please be aware of wildlife designation signing. Avoid spawning grounds and bear habitat.

Location: Gear up, get out and explore!


Moose Habitat

You're not in Kansas anymore. A moose can outrun you on your best day; pay attention to roadsides, creek and river shorelines.

Moose inhabit back country from North Beach and further north along Warren Wagon Rd.
