Get ready, get set, Mardi Gras! For 54 years, the McCall Winter Carnival has brought miles of smiles along its parade route and snow sculpture tour. A mid-winter celebration that brings folks from all around the country for ten days of winter fun and adventure, this annual event in McCall hosts the Idaho state snow sculpting competition, tour of amateur snow sculptors, bonfires and daily music and outdoor events.
The carnival is home to the Monster Dog Pull competition which is open all participants from Yorkies to Mastiffs who compete in this must see carnival event that benefits the McPaws animal shelter.
Represent your alma mater during the annual BSU vs U of Idaho Black and Blue Hockey rivalry during the first weekend and stick around for the second weekend to witness the McCall Starz on Ice! production featuring world class skating champions including Olympians and Olympic hopefuls alike.
This yearly celebration of everything winter draws over 60,000 visitors to McCall for parades, fireworks, winter sports events and the whimsical snow sculptures located throughout the town. So grab your beads, put on your craziest hat and outfit and step into Mardi Gras mountain style.

This family friendly events takes place in our local gem, Ponderosa State Park. The 1 mile to 7 mile routes will cover mixed terrain (paved, dirt, gravel) in this beautiful setting.

Founded by Kit Worthington in 2008, the GIG Foundation for the Arts supports local students, musicians, voice artists and writers through scholarships and grants. Come see these classic beauties on a sunny day in their element, the blue waters of Payette Lake in McCall. This three day event draws upwards of 3,000 antique and classic boat lovers from all around the country.

Originating in the 1970`s by the McCall Folklore Society, the festival celebrates varied musical genres at an outdoor venue during three days each July at the Roseberry historic townsite barn.
Thursday night is kick-off night featuring performances by local musicians and students from the Kids Mountain Music Camp.

Founded in the 1980's by Linda D'Eulis to rehabilitate and return injured and orphaned wildlife to the wild, Snowdon Sanctuary is a not for profit organization that relies on donor support and the efforts of the intern program participants.
The sanctuary is run by animal biologists and students of animal biology and provides hands on experience to help promote a healthy coexistence with wildlife and the ecosystem.
The sanctuary is open for public tours annually for one day only during the later part of September.
